The job entails the following.

Experience with Windows, Unix/Linux, AS400, and/or mainframe server administration

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering

Role Summary:
The candidate will work as part of a team performing monitoring of Highly Privileged Accounts (HPAs) on servers, databases, and storage and account provisioning. This activity supports security and compliance efforts to safeguard non-public information (NPI).

Essential Responsibilities:
Assists in developing, implementing, and enforcing IT infrastructure security policies and standards.
Analyze audit logs, and define what HPA activity to report on.
Assess the correctness and effectiveness of the alerts/Audit reports to match the IS Policy.
Receive and analyze alerts from Splunk related to activities performed by users with Highly Privileged Accounts on servers (Windows, Unix/Linux, AS400, and mainframe), databases, and storage. Coordinate response to these information security incidents.
Capable of sifting through the security logs and detect privilege misuse.
Perform investigation of monitoring alert looking for suspicious / unauthorized activity and escalate findings as required
Study systems configuration, Research and highlight potential gaps in existing security monitoring solutions.
Perform system HPA provisioning for HPA accounts and elevated privileges.
Ensure deprovisioning of accounts for job changes, terminations, and temporary accounts
Work with the IT Infrastructure and Security teams to define security objectives and guidelines.
Develop process/procedures to monitor and investigate HPA usage.
Sound understanding of network operating systems.
Ability to identify suspicious activity in server, database, and/or storage environments and determine when escalation is required
Must be willing to travel 10% of the time

Desired Characteristics:
Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Digital Guardian and CA Access Control.
CISSP / RedHatLinux / MCSE Certification would be a plus
