Urgent Requirement for Nagios Admin - Chennai Location

Nagios Job Description This position will develop, configure and optimize tools used for monitoring Demand Media's Dev - Production - Corporate environment. The candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment. Experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems is required. Responsibilities o Leads the development, deployment, integration and programming of cross platform infrastructure tools with an emphasis on Nagios. o Work closely with Engineering, Application and Operations teams to research, design and implement monitoring o Work cross functionally to gather requirements and lead the evaluation of current and perspective tools to meet business requirements o Identify areas for development or improvement in policies and procedures o Mentor on-shore and off-shore Engineers Preferred Qualifications: o 3-5 YEARS OF LINUX EXPERIENCE AND A SOLID LINUX FOUNDATION WITH STRONG SCRIPTING o Solid shell scripting and debugging in ksh and/or bash required o Solid Linux/Unix Operating System and Network troubleshooting skills o Ability to perform in a fast paced environment and available on call for emergency support o In-depth configuration of monitoring systems (Nagios, MRTG,SCOM) o In-depth scripting experience on Linux platforms (shell, Perl) o Candidate will be required to be part of a 24/7 oncall rotation sathish.subburaj@csscorp.com
