Job Description: Essential day-to-day responsibilities • Provide day to day technical support for the Windows Server environments and applications. • Implement and support Windows clustering and applications in the clusters. • Implement and support Windows Active Directory. • Provide technical support for the VmWare virtual infrastructure. • Participate in the VmWare implementation projects as and when requirement arises. • Provide technical expertise to projects implementing system upgrades ensuring Operations best .practices are followed Installing, customising , deployment of Windows and VmWare systems. • Taking full responsibility for stable operation of all systems under management. • Be actively involved in capacity management and system performance monitoring/tuning • Plan and implement Business As Usual upgrades and patching schedules following business critical processes. • Work on system/service performance issues, find root cause and solution • Provide root cause analysis for existing problems affecting Production and Pre-production environments including vendor escalation where necessary • Proactive in finding root cause irrespective of the source (be it UNIX, Windows, Network, applications) by working with peers • Liaison with site operations/remote smart hands, vendors, engineering, development, applications support, end user services/project managers • Perform software and systems provisioning using TR and third party tools to production and pre-production environments • Create/implement/trouble shooting internal tools using required scripting language • Be open to learning appropriate new technology and applying pro-actively. Additional information: The team provides 15x7 coverage a day from 6AM - 9PM working in two shifts and weekends on rotation basis. Education A Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, technical or engineering degree preferred (relevant experience will be considered if not graduate) Required Skills 5-7 years of relevant support experience • Strong understanding and experience in Windows Server Technology • Experience in implementing and supporting Windows Server clusters • Experience in implementing and maintaining Windows AD • HP-C7000 Chassis, Flex, vCEM, SIM, technologies • VmWare 3.5 and 4 (ESX servers, Virtual Center, HA, DRS, FT clusters, VCB, vdSwitch, P2V, V2V, VCB, VM provisioning experience, automation) • TCP/IP networking troubleshooting skills • Storage exposure and experience • Backup experience (TSM/Netbackup desired) • Hardware implementation, configuration, trouble shooting experience - preferrably HP/IBM/DELL chassis systems • Troubleshooting, problem identification and fixing • Fundamental Networking, VLAN and related • System/Service Performance Analysis and Tuning/Optimisation • Methodical and logical fault finding • Experience in software provisioning • Be open to learning appropriate new technology and applying pro-actively • Willingness and open to work on issues and find the root cause Desired Skills • ITIL (ITILv2/3 Foundation)• Degree relating to IT. • working knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes such as Incident, Change, Release and Problem • Solaris/Linux exposure • Knowledge of SAN Storage particularly EMC • Some Linux (RedHat) exposure and experience • Terminal Servers • CIFS, NFS, SDS, IPMP • Knowledge of vFoglight • Knowledge of CiBRA • XML or other mark up languages Any Certifications Required: • VMware - VCP 3.5 or 4 • MCSE/MCTS: Enterprise Administrator/Server Administrator Please send me your updated CV as word document, with below mentioned details : o Full Name of candidate o Total Experience o Relevant Experience o Current CTC o Expected CTC o Notice Period o Qualification (with year of passing) o Current Employer o Current Location o Relocation (Yes/No with reason) o Contact Number o E Mail Id (Official and Personal) o Full current address (with pincode) o Date of Birth o Any other offers in hand (If yes; full details like Company, CTC, DOJ, Location) With Best Regards, Ramya Ch Paradigm Consulting.
