Job Description

Provide support to Unix issues as part of the Global Unix team

Should be well versed with HP, Sun and Linux environments.

Should be knowledgeable in suggesting/implementing major patch roll outs

Should have good understanding of backup/restore environment.

Work closely with Global Command Center and coordinate fixing BMC alarms

Provide support for user issues and track progress through MITR

Work closely with users to resolve user issues within SLA

Work closely with GCC to coordinate scheduled and non-scheduled outages

Key member of the Midrange Operations team in Hyderabad

Would be able to take care of production issues proactively

Independently take ownership and drive the Ops excellence in the midrange area

Should understand typical Cluster, EMC storage and HP dataprotector backup environment

Would use the GE project management practices and SDLC experiences to deliver projects/Enhancements on time and on-cost

Minimum of 3 - 6 years in Midrange Support Area

Must have proficiency in Unix installation, patching, Shell scripting, Oracle database understanding and afiler DR setup configuration.

Excellent communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Should be a good team player and also ability to work individually

Location: Hyderabad & Bangalore

Salary : Negotiable
