Exp - 5+ yrs Job location : Bangalore The Global Server Engineering organization within DTS Engineering & Architecture is responsible for firm-wide distributed server product strategy, product management, engineering, business solutions and 3rd level performance/capacity monitoring. The Configuration Management team for Server Automation is responsible for designing, developing and implementing the firmwide standard infrastructure for administering and managing distributed servers. The group is responsible for defining global standards for managing server configuration data and implementing a solution that will assist in this. In the role of Distributed Server Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible to: •Develop solution in the Content Management team for server management. This includes solutions that require integration to other strategic JPMC infrastructure tools. •Follow best practice by developing content that meets design for enterprise requirements of scalability, performance, resiliency, security, and manageability. •Work with others in the team in developing the technical design and architecture for Content Management projects. Ensure that the architecture and design of the solution is suitable for a global enterprise deployment. •Develop solutions based on given requirements. Ensure that solution developed is scalable, and does not compromise infrastructure security nor complicate current process. •Develop test use cases for solution developed. Work with stakeholders to ensure that test use cases cover all aspects of business and technical requirements. •Unit test the solution developed meets requirements. Document test results. •Create detailed documents for technical design and architecture for Content Management projects. •Provide detailed status updates to project mangers for project deliverables on a regular basis. Identify issues, escalate issues, ensure deliverables are complete, and timelines are met. •Deliver detailed documentation (Design Guide, User Guide, Test Plan, Test Results) for each project. •Provide certification results for solution that documents solutions developed work for all use cases. Skills Required: - 1) Minimum 5 years hands-on experience as a server engineer with packaging experience. 2) Strong hands on development experience: - Must be able to create and document technical design for solutions. - Must be able to develop solution to meet requirements. - Demonstrated hands-on experience with UNIX/Windows content development. - Creating OS Native packages (MSI, RPM, PKG) - Shell scripting, Power shell, Perl, Python, HTML, SQL. 3) In-depth technical understanding of the following: - UNIX/Windows OS Provisioning details (DHCP, Bootp, PXE, DNS, NFS, TFTP,SMB, NIM) - Solaris, Windows patching technologies (PCA, MBSA) - Administration of Middleware and Database products (Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere, Oracle, Sybase, SQLServer) and how they are installed and configured. - Instalation and configration of Server management tools like Tivoli, Netbackup, SAV,ESM, NetSNMP.
