Role: Technical Specialist Location: Bangalore Duration: Permanent Client: Telecommunication Giant MNC Work Experience: 4.5 -6 years Education: B.E. / MCA Job Description The Technical Specialist will be responsible for resolving client support issues and troubleshooting problems associated with the Grid Router solution for distribution, automation and commercial and industrial meter reading. Primary Skills: - Linux OS operation, BASH/Shell Scripting, Layer 2/3 Switches and Routers, Grid Router, COTS-commercial-off-the-shelf tools (like Solarwinds, Tivoli, and OpenView etc.) Candidates must have the experience on Layer 2/3 Switches and Routers & Linux OS operations. Responsibilities: * Work directly with customers to troubleshoot software, communication and technical support issues for the Grid Router * Position will require experience in working directly with customers * Responding to customer support requests and working issues to resolution * Responsible for creating all applicable internal and customer-facing documentation * Work in conjunction with customer contacts to document customer processes and help manage the addition of customers" devices in the field. * Providing support on the Functionality, configuration, deployments, network coverage checking and installation procedures * Interact with Development team on Tier 3 support issues and definition of potential customer generated enhancement requests * Establish proactive customer contact to intercept potential customer support and training issues Desired Skills & Experience * Must have extensive knowledge of the Linux OS operation (networking, administration, package management, general configuration, kernel compiling, etc) * Familiarity with the commercial-off-the-shelf tools used to manage the Grid Router (e.g. Solarwinds, Tivoli, OpenView) or ability to learn to operate said applications at an Advanced User level * Prefer experience with programming languages like BASH scripting * Must be proficient in routers and network topology and setup * Must have experience with VPN appliances and routing tables * Requires understanding of serial protocols or knowledge to read and understand * Prefer experience with hardware test equipment, cellular networking, debugging software, system security, * Excellent oral, written, and presentation communications skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues with individuals, team members, and executives * Demonstrated abilities in problem solving, interpersonal skills and computer skills * Ability to communicate clearly when confronting problems and working through solutions (Pls reply with filled below given columns) Name: Phone: Current CTC: Expected CTC: Notice Period: Update Resume: Current Location: Willing to Relocate: Total year of Experience: Email Id (Pls provide Two): Note: If you are not available, but know someone who might be, I would really appreciate if you could refer them to me. since we are looking to hire suitable candidate immediately.
