ITIL Foundation Desirable



HP Unix Admin, Unix system design skills, KornShell Scripting skills, HP RAID Manager/
SAN Unix Admin skills, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server, Veritas RAC,
LDOM, Zones/Containers, Solaris running on x86, ITIL Awareness, Solaris Build, DRM,
Reuters, Bladelogic user skills, Veritas Global Cluster Server, Solaris certified, Veritas
Cluster Server Certified



Required minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience with the following:

•Disaster recovery plan development experience
•UNIX scripting
•Technical experience with SAN and NAS technologies (including EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, QLogic, Brocade)
•HP-UNIX, Veritas NetBackup and Replication technologies is required; may include the configuration and installation of the HW and SW infrastructure required to support DR capabilities
• Veritas Volume Manager and Filesystem as well as expertise with various UNIX scripting languages (bourne, Korn, Perl)
•Managing Large enterprise environments
•Configuration and administration of failover technologies
•NIS, NFS, and automount
•UNIX backup and restore and Tape library (ATL) administration
•UNIX disk and network management
•UNIX process management and monitoring
•UNIX performance tuning and related utilities
•UNIX Capacity management and related utilities
•TCP/IP protocol and its utilities
•Networking/distributed computing environments
•QFS, VxFS or NFS
•Database experience a plus

OS Migrations -

Job Description :

We are looking for an Linux L2 Support engineer for our Datacenter based out of Hyderabad, with strong administration skills on Linux platform
• Should have good communication skills and excellent customer interfacing skills
• Should have a minimum of 3 yrs of experience in Linux server administration preferably Red hat certified.
• Should have good analytical/problem solving skills
• Should be good at time management & should have the ability & desire to learn new skills.
• Should have lead a team of L1 and L0 for a given set of servers


Role:

Experience in working in a Datacenter environment for 3+ years or setups of 50 servers or more
• Responsible for Linux Platform and applications
• Responsible for managing multiple RHEL/ SUSE Servers
• Installation & configuring of test & production servers including clusters
• Monitoring services through the use of monitoring tools for vital system statistics
• Adequate Knowledge of Patching and resolving the security based problems.
• Practical experience on Client Backup tools like TSM, VERITAS, Arc server etc.,
• Knowledge of Citrix, Xen, VM ware and remote server support is an added advantage.
• Trouble shooting server based problems with root cause analysis.
• Problem solving Capability in IBM,HP and Dell Hardware.
• Experience in handling customer base environment of more than 50 servers will be essential.
• Good Understanding of trouble shooting & Server based Commands
• General Knowledge of Storage, Networking and backup devices
• Experience on the following layered products:
o BIND
o PHP
o Tomcat
o TCP/IP
o Apache & FTP
• Strong concepts of TCP / IP
• In depth Knowledge & Experience of managing complex tasks like :
o File / Directory Permissions
o Logical Volume Manager
o OS & layered product Installation
o Patch Management Planning & Installation

• Experience in creating Pyhton/ Perl Scripts for Automating the manual tasks
