Job Description:
As an Operations Web Systems Administrator you will provide worldwide technical services for multiple web properties/applications; work within local and remote Web Services teams to deploy and maintain our growing web application infrastructure/environment(s). Moreover, you will drive outages through resolution as required, troubleshoot complex solutions/environments, pursue root cause analysis, and regular upwards communication.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Use ticket system to handle/manage daily operations and technical services.
Proactively takes ownership of service tickets, performs troubleshooting, resolves issues and/or escalate issues to development, and drives resolution. Maintains tickets updated based on SLA, and responds promptly.
Drive outages through resolution, pursue root cause analysis, and regular upwards communication.
Creates and generates issue tracking report for management and provides regular updates
Drive knowledge transfer initiatives, create documentation to help self-service initiatives, and assist in training new team members.
Proactively communicates changes and shares knowledge across teams through self-authored documentation and/or presentations.
Identify needs and create tools and scripts which help diagnostic capabilities or automate administrative tasks.
Coordinate multiple demands/priorities and demonstrate drive in initiating and completing projects.
Executes technical deliverables within scope, time, and quality and is proficient in providing accurate work efforts estimates.
Stays current with evolving standards and technologies. Recommends new technologies/tools/processes, implements as appropriate.
Monitor system utilization, capacity and response times, anticipate and mitigate problems areas proactively.
Recommends operational efficiencies, especially towards scalability, redundant and high availability solutions.
Manage, deploy and maintain multiple test environments for Dev and QA, ensuring these environments are properly setup, configured, and available for each project as scheduled.
Coordinate multiple demands/priorities and demonstrate drive in initiating and completing projects
